NAUTICAL STYLING IN THE NORTHWEST

"May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face and may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars." - Johnny Depp

Time to Set Sail!

Ahoy maties!  I thought it would be fun to share some nautical styling since I live in a Navy town.

This city is rich in Naval history and has a very strong sense of community.  People here are always ready to help someone in time of need or reach out to newcomers.   It is a great place to raise kids and enjoy fabulous activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, hunting, and scuba diving.

A fun way to travel here is on the ferry from  downtown Seattle.  Watching some of the interesting characters, makes the ride go by real fast!

Have you ever been down under on a submarine or for a cruise on a aircraft carrier?  Being cooped up in close quarters like a can of sardines does not sound appealing.  I would love to ride on an aircraft carrier someday, I did get to tour one.

I hope spring is all smooth sailing for you! If you have ever lived in a military town , it would be great to hear about your experiences!

  3. I knew that looked familiar! We just moved to Puyallup but were looking up in your area, Gig Harbor and Port Orchard for homes. I would have much rather moved close to the water. But hubby needed to be near Auburn for work. I love your outfits and you even caught a sunny day! Great to "meet" you!

    1. Hey Lisa!! I am so glad you live close! I love Gig Harbor!! I would love to live there rather than here...lol...been here many years...ready for a change. Gig Harbor is so quaint and classy! You can have Port Orchard...ha...Not my cup of tea. I love to go in the shops there tho! Puyallup is pretty, I go there to the mall sometimes and a lot to Tacoma and SouthCenter..the shopping here stinks! Thank you so much for your kind words! Do you know of the Seattle bloggers group on FB? ITs called SEatle bloggers unite..they have fun meet ups. I went to my first one on Sat , met some super nice blogging girls! Great to meet you as well!
