Fierce and Fabulous: Why Life is Golden After 50

Wow, it's hard to believe I just had another bday. Age is just an number anyway isn't it?! At least I am trying to convince myself ! I am fully immersed in the years that are dubbed "Golden'! Well some days since turning 50  a few years ago, have been golden and others not so much ha!

"I'm not 50, I'm 18 with 32 years of experience"

Hey, it's all good though. I'm  alive and kickin, and not pushing up daisies!  I am truly blessed to have a great life with loving family and friends . The past year has been a bit challenging health wise, but I will overcome! Nothing too serious so far, thank God for that!

Fierce and Fabulous: Why Life is Golden After 50

"Inside every 5o year old body, is a 2o year old wondering what happened!"

I originally started this blog to inspire women in midlife to: feel encouraged, empowered and inspired. That is my passion and I plan to continue to do just that! The "second act" of life can be even more exciting than the first. It is a time of new beginnings, discoveries, and changes.

Many in this season of life , think they may be too old to dream a new dream , start a new career, go back to college, etc. This stems sometimes from the attitude in society towards those who are not young anymore. I;m here to shout it from the roof tops:  You are not dead yet, you have amazing talents, and awesome opportunities to make an impact & influence others. As Walt Disney said :

If you can dream It, you can do It!

On that note: I am super excited to share that I've joined a very exciting project with an outstanding group of women! Fifty bloggers aged 50 and over, have come together for an amazing campaign.

#thefierce50 is coming soon, and has already set fire on Instagram! So if you want to get a sneak peak of what's to come, you can check out this video and hashtag: and stayed tuned, more to come!  Detailed info about the campaign is now live on Thrive Global.

Fierce and Fabulous: Why Life is Golden After 50

Fifty is not at all what it used to be when I was growing up. The paradigm is changing, and this group of gals are here to step up and prove it! Call me a later bloomer, because for me the party is just getting started. It has taken all this time to figure out what I want to be when I grow up  The future is looking bright and I'm ready for the ride!

"The first 4o years of childhood are always the hardest!"

I hope you are inspired by this message. You are valued and can live midlife with intention, zest, and fulfillment!  Thanks for following my blog, blessings to you for a successful year ahead! 4. Wow, what an inspiring post! I've spent a great deal of time thinking about my age lately. I haven't hit 50 yet, but I'm not too far from it and I have to admit, I'm feeling it. After having read this, however, it made me sit just a little straighter knowing that maybe I can do it too, after all :-) Thank you!

  7. I turn 45 this April and most people mistake me for the younger sister of my girls who are 19 and 22. So I am hoping for a Fierce and Fabulous Fifty and on too.
