* This is a collaboration post. I received a complimentary stay from Glamping Hub, in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Hey Friends,
As I mentioned in a previous post, I try to avoid camping at all costs! The only camping I do is "Glamping" in the nearest Holiday Inn! I recently featured Glamping Hub and some of the fabulous properties they offer as alternatives. This past weekend, we headed to Portland to stay at this darling cottage nestled in the woods. It was the perfect mother's day gift!
If you are in the Northwest or traveling this way, You would love a stay here for the following reasons:
1) Cozy & Secluded:
This cozy cabin is so inviting and has a charming and rustic vibe. Life slows down here for sure! If you want a weekend getaway from the burbs, this is the place for you! I am not usually too excited about sleeping in the middle of the woods, but that all changed when we stayed here.
2) Best of Both Worlds at Once: Nature and the City
Even though it seems you are far away from the city beat, the cabin is not far from town. Here you have the best of both worlds: quiet serenity in the country, and all the sights of the big city .
The porch was my favorite! I love to sit and listen to nature . The highlight of the stay, was finding a little birdie nest sitting on top of the outside lamp.
3) Spacious and Feels Like Home:
Even though this cottage is laid out like a studio apartment, it felt super spacious because of the open floor plan. It's equipped with most of the conveniences you enjoy at home: wifi, netflix, a comfy couch for lounging, dining area, roomy kitchen, barbque grill , and accommodations to sleep 6.

4) Fun Loft Area:
If the kiddos are getting on your last nerve and you need a reprieve- banish em to the loft!
I tried to send my daughter up there, he he, but she wasn't having it! It was her 20th birthday the day we arrived-I had to give her a hard time! Seriously though , its a fun little spot to unwind. It does get quite toasty up there, so no blankets needed!
5) All the amenities of hotel room are included:
If you left something at home, not to worry, everything is here that you could possibly need! Towels, blankets , sheets, toiletries etc. If you end up with holes in your socks , there is even a sewing kit to fix that problem!
As I mentioned earlier, the cabin sleeps six: There is a hideaway bed in the sofa, a double murphy bed, and the futon in the loft. That is it for my tour of the cottage in the woods.
It was a very enjoyable getaway, and a nice switch from the usual hotel stay. If you are interested in this property check out the complete booking details on Glamping Hub. I also would like to introduce you to the Washington Weekend Getaway Campaign Portal- the evergreen state also has wonderful glamping getaways!
Thank you for taking time to read my review, and if you enjoyed it - please do share.
Until next time,
