Hey hey friends! March is whizzing by, and it's time for a Spring Break vacation. If you haven't made your plans, there is still time to get a trip booked. The past few weeks I 've written several guides for visiting "fabulous" Las Vegas.
If you are going to Vegas soon, and haven't booked your hotel yet- read on! I'vestayed in several hotels on the strip: The Stratosphere, The Trump, The Excaliber, The Mirage and Harrahs. My most recent stay was at Harrah's .
Why to choose Harrah's for your next stay:
Biggest Bang for your Buck
Speaking of bucks- you might get lucky at the casino in Harrah's! Buck and Winnie are standing by to cheer you on to a winning streak! All kidding aside, this hotel really is a great value for your dollar. I paid the same rate as the Excalibur, which is a budget hotel.
Harrah's is a step up from the Excalibur, and offers more in the way of entertainment. I bought my room in a package on cheap tickets: it was about 35.00 a night. If you book a room separate, the cost will be higher, especially for hotels in the middle of the strip.

Centrally Located
Harrah's is located in the middle Las Vegas Blvd. This is one of the reasons I LOVED staying here! Everything you want ( or need) is just a few steps away. Most hotels I've stayed at, are on either end of the strip. My feet always scream at me from so much walking.
Harrah's is owned by Caesers Entertainment. The gigantic Caesers Palace is across the street. You could spend hours there and never run out of things to do. In addition, the LINQ Promenade is a few steps away. I'm obsessed with the promenade, non-stop fun awaits you. Check out my detailed guide to the promenade here.

Updated Rooms
Updated Rooms
The hotel is undergoing major renovations on several floors. I found out the floor I stayed on, will be remodeled this spring. The new rooms look very inviting and beautiful.
As we all know Las Vegas attracts travelers by the millions, from all over the world. It only stands to reason, remodels are an ongoing thing. Whatever hotel you reserve: it's best to call a week after your reservation is made and ask if any remodeled rooms are available. There may be only a slight price difference to stay in the new part of the hotel.

Pool with Cabanas
Hotel pools that offer cabana reservations are the bomb! Not all the hotels in Las Vegas have them. For several months of the year, the heat is very intense. It's best to spend the extra cash and reserve a cabana for a day, or even for a few hours. If you are traveling with a group, cabanas are amazing for a party or to rest from the sun.
Best Piano Bar on the Strip
I was pleasantly surprised to find out they play weekly at the Piano Bar. All I had to do was take the elevator downstairs. I 'm a huge fan of classic soul, and could listen to these guys all day. If you like Motown- this music is for you! They are extremely talented: they can do it all- sing, dance and play.
Sounds like such a great time! I can't believe I've never been to Vegas! I need to go ASAP!

DeleteI've been to Vegas a few times and we always stay at a different hotel. We've never stayed at Harrah's yet, but it sounds amazing. Thanks for suggesting our next hotel to stay in!
ReplyDelete$35 a night?!?! That's incredible! I've never been to Vegas because I'm not into the casino scene, but this hotel looks like a great option!
ReplyDeleteI think Harrah's is totally underrated. I used to work for Caesars and they are invest a ton of money into upgrades and making Harrah's swanky and new. I hadn't seen their pool before and it looks so luxurious. The price of the rooms is so cheap as well, making it a great budget spring break option in Las Vegas. I'll definitely consider booking Harrah's next time I visit!
ReplyDeleteI've been to Vegas twice now and I hadn't heard of Harrahs before! The rooms look so luxe, and I am there for any hotel that is centrally located!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at pools with cabanas. Looks like a beautiful place to stay, and it will definitely be on my list if I'm ever out that way!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the center of the strip is the best place to stay in Vegas. I haven’t tried Harrahs but I’ll have to try the tip of booking a package. I also need to try that piano bar! Piano bars are my favorite. This year for Spring Break I’m off in Panama and Colombia.

DeleteHarrah seems a great place to stay in Las Vegas. This property has so much in terms of entertainment. The pool looks amazing and the fact that it's centrally located makes the stay more worthy and valuable.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great hotel review! It's given me perspective into what the place is like and how much it will cost me. I have yet to visit Las Vegas but when I do I'll keep Harrahs in mind. I particularly love piano bars and live music so that's a huge plus in my books.
ReplyDeleteHarrahs looks like an amazing place - comfortable yet so chic. Having it in city center is an added advantage. Would love to explore Vegas and definitely consider staying here.
