Oh Canada: Why I love my home

Shop:|Maple Leaf Socks|T-shirt(similar)|Tote Bag(purchased at Old Navy /Canada-in store)

Canada Eh!?! Yes Canadians say "eh" instead of "huh", like Americans do. Even though I was born and raised in Canada, that word never made it into my vocabulary.  It seems so funny to hear it now after all these years!

I made a trip last week to beautiful British Columbia where I grew up. I was in Aldergrove and Surrey for this trip.  The lower mainland area of B.C. offers a wide variety of scenic sites, activities, shopping , and ethnic cuisine. I really loved growing up there, and miss it terribly!

Fort Langley is one of my favorite little towns to visit. It is full of rich history and has several quaint shops and eateries.  There is an actual fort still standing that you can tour for a small fee. The Cranberries Naturally store had the most scrumptious cranberry jelly I've ever tasted. Their products were used to feed the celebrities at the Academy Awards this past March. The large colonial type building is the set for the town hall in the ABC series "Once Upon A Time".

Of course no visit is complete at home until I get a sip of delicious Timmy's coffee!  It is always my first stop upon arrival in Canuck Land. The delicious aroma and taste of the java is always satisfying, as well as the delicious donuts.

I had a great time visiting my old stomping grounds! The highlight of my trip was reconnecting with childhood friends. If you have never made a visit to the True North Strong and Free, I hope you can do so soon!  If you have travelled to Canada, I'd love to hear about your adventures!
