Canada: the True North Strong and Free Of course, I am a little biased when it comes to the beautiful country of Canada! I was born there, in a city 3 hours east of Calgary. Medicine Hat, Alberta was the place, but B.C. is home. I spent most of my growing up years in metro Vancouver. I consider it my hometown, and miss it greatly If you don't know it already, Canada has been named 2017 "Country of the Year"by Lonely Planet . I was so thrilled Canada received this vote, it has so many amazing destinations to visit.
