How to Stylishly Mix dressy and casual clothes

Hey Friends!

I was hoping to share a Memorial Day outfit guide, but life has been quite busy with teaching and blogging, so I am sharing an outfit shoot from a few weeks back.

I am so excited for my trip to LA coming up soon.. I'm traveling there for a blogger event, I will share more about that later! Isn't this L.A tee just the cutest?!?

SHOP THE LOOK:

Anyway, today I'm sharing how you can style a chic look by mixing dressy and casual pieces. Putting this look together was somewhat out of my comfort zone. My old school brain says- ya don't wear a fancy skirt with a t-shirt!

However fashion these days, is about being unique and throwing all  the rules out the window.
Anything goes, and I love being  creative and out of the box with style. So if you love it, and it makes you feel fabulous and beautiful-by all means wear it!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention: looks from my previous posts are now available to shop via the shop tab. It's taking awhile to get them all added.

Alright lovelies, what do you think about styling casual and dressy pieces together?

Thanks for stopping by, have an amazing weekend! I'm headed a few hours south for a collaboration. I hope everyone takes a few minutes on Monday to remember all the fallen heroes of the military.

Until next time, stay stylish!

  1. I can totally relate Valerie!!
The sneakers and skirt is totally modern, yet it's hard to wrap our brain around something so different than what we were taught!!
The 3 of us did it a couple of weeks ago on my blog, and I think the younger women liked it more than the older ones..ha ha!!
