Thanks for stopping by Maple Leopard today! It's been awhile since I've posted Cruise tips.  With inflation soaring and everything going up, prices to cruise are actually going down. If you are looking to score a huge discount on cruise travel, NOW is the time to get it booked!

Drive to Cruises

If you are within driving distance of a cruise terminal, you have a big advantage over others flying to the departure port.  Cruises out of San Diego, Los Angeles and Miami are offering the best prices this fall.  Currently you can score a deal for less than the cost of airfare!

Wave Season

Typically Jan 1- March 31,  is referred to as " WAVE SEASON." This is when cruise lines offer deep discounts. During this time, travel agents historically book the largest number of cruise cabins. Think of it as a "wave" of bookings. It's similar to Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but lasts for 3 months and is all cruise centered.

Cruise Deals for 40 A Night

Right now you can save big on cruises to Mexico from San Diego.  A 3 day cruise on MSC Cruises or Carnival can be found for around 200 pp this fall. Keep in mind these deals may not include wifi or  beverage packages.  Also with Princess Cruises: If you sail on their new LOVE BOAT enjoy up to 30% off and this one does include WIFI and drinks!

Cruise Lines are doing whatever they can to kick back from the pandemic. Currently they are struggling to get passengers on board. This makes for a window of opportunity to take the cruise of your dreams!

I've been on 2 cruises so far. I would recommend checking out Norwegian Cruise Lines, and see what deals they are offering. NCL offers amazing customer care, amenities and experiences. If you can't afford a multi-day cruise, consider a day trip cruise!

Dig your calendar out and start planning that cruise! These prices probably will go up in the new year.

Have you been on a cruise lately? Where did you sail?

I'm on the East Coast in Pennsylvania the closest Port is about an 8 hour drive. I've also looked into taking a train from where I am to one of the East Cost ports.
