My Walking Guides Are Officially Live on GPSmyCity (and I’m Doing a Free App Giveaway!)

If you’ve followed my travels for a while, you know I’m a big believer in exploring cities on foot. Walking is how you notice the small details, wander off the obvious routes, and actually feel a place instead of just ticking off landmarks.

That’s exactly why I’m excited to share that a collection of my travel articles has now been officially published as GPS-enabled walking guide apps on GPSmyCity, available on both the App Store and Google Play.

And to celebrate the launch, I’m teaming up with GPSmyCity to offer a limited-time giveaway of several full-version city guides — completely free.

My Travel Guides Are Now GPS-Enabled Walking Apps

Several of my destination articles have been transformed into easy-to-use travel article apps that work right from your phone. Each guide is designed to help you explore at your own pace, with built-in GPS navigation that shows nearby sights as you walk — no constant data connection required.

These guides are especially helpful if you like:

  • Independent travel without group tours

  • Exploring cities on foot

  • Having curated ideas without information overload

  • Traveling solo or planning flexible days

Whether you’re navigating a European city or exploring closer to home, having a walking guide app removes a lot of guesswork.

Why I Love the GPSmyCity Travel App Format

What I appreciate most about GPSmyCity is how practical the app format is for real travel days. You can download the guide ahead of time, open it offline, and see exactly what’s nearby as you walk.

These walking tour apps are ideal for:

  • Solo travelers who want confidence navigating a city

  • Travelers who prefer exploring without tour groups

  • Short trips where time matters

  • Repeat visitors who want a fresh approach

It’s like having a local guide in your pocket — without being tied to a schedule.

How to Access the Free Travel Guide Apps

Once the giveaway begins, simply search for GPSmyCity in the App Store or Google Play, find the participating city guides, and download them during the free period. Once downloaded, they’re yours to keep.

GPSmyCity will also be announcing the launch across their homepage, Facebook, and Pinterest, so you’ll see reminders there as well.

This launch feels like a natural extension of how I already travel and write — thoughtful, walkable, and designed for travelers who want to experience a place rather than rush through it. I’m thrilled to finally see these guides available as apps, and even more excited to share them with you for free for a limited time.
